MMA Regulation in Indiana begins today
MMA Regulation in Indiana begins today By Fight Instinct ___________________
Act 160, which calls for the Indiana Athletic Commission to regulate mixed martial arts, along with other “unarmed combat” sports is now in effect. That makes Indiana one of the 39 states in the U.S. that already regulate or are close to regulating the sport of MMA.
Though Indiana has held plenty of un-sanctioned MMA events in the past, the official regulation will give major organizations such as the Ultimate Fighting Championship access to the potentially lucrative market to the states largest city, Indianapolis.
Indianapolis, which is home to approximately 800,000 residents, is also known for having the close to 18,500-seated Conseco Fieldhouse, home of the NBA’s Indiana Pacers.

Hayabusa joins the UFC banned list By Fight Instinct ___________________
The latest brand to appear on the UFC banned list include Hayabusa Fight Wear, which is favored by Canadian fighters such as Denis Kang, according to MMA business website, MMAPayout.com.
Additionally, several clothing sponsors have indicated that they have been contacted by the UFC and informed that they will be required to pay a $100,000 fee to the organization, in order to sponsor a UFC fighter during a UFC-promoted event.
The change in sponsorship will likely create difficulty for combatants fighting in the organization. Reportedly, the UFC also recently banned brands including Rolling Stone, Dethrone and One More Round.

Aloha hello or Aloha goodbye? Hawaii to regulate MMA on Wednesday
Aloha hello or Aloha goodbye? Hawaii to regulate MMA on Wednesday By Fight Instinct ___________________
Though Hawaii has had plenty of events in the past, the state will fully sanction and license events when The Hawaii Department of Commerce & Consumer Affair’s Boxing division launches MMA regulation on Wednesday, July 1.
However, the news does not come with all excitement for promoters who fancy holding an event in the “Aloha State.”
UFC President Dana White has stated in the past the possibility of brining the UFC to Hawaii, the home state of B.J. Penn. However, the state also recently implemented heavy taxes and licensing fees on promoters, which has diminished the promotion’s desire to hold an event in Hawaii.
